Vince Frisella
Bass Guitar
Vince has been married to his loving wife, Melissa, for seventeen wonderful years. He is also the father of four strapping boys: Brendon, Ashten, Landin, and Justin. Vince’s youngest son, Justin, was born five weeks premature. Baby Justin and Melissa nearly died due to complications during birth. After this traumatic event, Vincent started attending church on a regular basis. He truly believes if it were not for God, his little family would not be whole today.
Vince accepted Jesus into his heart, as his Lord and Savior, on August 6, 2000. That day could not have been better because Vincent's family was able to celebrate his spiritual rebirth in Christ on his son, Landin’s, birthday. Brother Jerry Rice, pastor of Mill Creek Baptist Church, led him to the Lord.
Vincent started playing the guitar at age ten. After he gave his life to Jesus, Vince was invited to play the bass guitar in his church’s praise and worship band. In years past, he played the guitar and sang, but never once picked up a bass guitar. With the help of his music director, Derwin Whitfield and his son, Steven Whitfield, Vince quickly found a passion for playing the bass. Vincent will be forevermore grateful to those who have helped him along the way.
The Frisella family joined Resurrection Life Ministries in April of 2005. While there, Vince joined the praise and worship team and played for the first time the Sunday before hurricane Katrina devastated the area. In the weeks following Katrina, Vincent spent his time teaching his twelve year old son, Ashten, to play the bass guitar. This really helped the Frisella family deal with the events that surfaced after that major storm. Vince credits the grace of God with keeping his family safe through the storm. This is the very reason that he plays the bass in the service of Jesus Christ today.
The Frisella family moved to Chattahoochee, FL in September of 2005. There they lived until November of 2007. While in Florida, Vince started two separate youth groups and two different praise and worship teams. He sang and played the bass guitar, drums and acoustic guitar with the different churches his family attended. Since Vince has given his life to Jesus, he has had a passion for playing music with youth and young children. Vince feels that it is very important to teach today’s youth the way to God starting at an early age. Once you meet Vince you will know that he is a BIG KID at heart.
